Yunnan province participated in the 9th BRI Sino-German Economic Cooperation Dialogue on September 7, focusing on cooperation in energy, science and technology.
Lasting from September 6 to 8, the dialogue was held to mark the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and Germany, and it was the first time for Yunnan to be invited to this dialogue.
“Yunnan will focus on the high-quality growth in clean energy, deepen Sino-German energy cooperation, and welcome German enterprises to Yunnan for win-win results in this regard,” said a person in charge of the Energy Administration of Yunnan Province.
Christian Hartel, president of the German Wacker Chemie AG, showed his interest in joining hands with Yunnan for developing photovoltaic products. Other German participants expected to cooperate with China in clean energy, digitalization, energy research, and application of technologies.
Jointly organized by China Economic Cooperation Center and Rudolf Scharping Strategie Beratung Kommunikation AG (RSBK), the dialogue was themed "Sino-German (EU) pragmatic cooperation adding certainty to world economy".
Other topics for the dialogue covered opportunities and challenges in education, personnel training, technological innovation, medicare, and agriculture.
