The reporter learned from the Office of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council on the 15th that in order to strictly implement the commitments of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) and actively promote the full implementation of RCEP, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council recently issued an announcement stating that starting from June 2, 2023 , for some imported goods originating in the Philippines, the agreed tax rate applicable to RCEP ASEAN member states will be implemented, and the tax rate for subsequent years will be implemented from January 1 of that year.
After RCEP came into force for the Philippines, all 15 members have completed the entry into force procedures and implemented tariff concessions with each other, and the agreement has entered a new stage of full implementation.
