The 2023 RCEP Regional Development Media Think Tank Forum will be held soon

The "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (hereinafter referred to as RCEP) has been in force for more than a year, and its dividends in promoting regional trade and investment growth and economic recovery have been continuously released. At present, in the context of profound and complex changes in the global political and economic landscape, and the challenges faced by RCEP regional economic recovery and growth, how to promote the full implementation and continuous upgrading of RCEP, and jointly build the world's largest free trade zone, so as to further release RCEP's role in deepening regional economic and trade Cooperation and the promotion of regional economic recovery and growth dividends have become a major issue of common concern to all parties.


  In this context, on May 21, 2023, the Propaganda Department of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, China Daily, and the China (Hainan) Reform and Development Research Institute will co-host an event with the theme of "Building the World's Largest Free Trade Zone" in Haikou, Hainan. "2023 RCEP Regional Development Media Think Tank Forum". Representatives from 15 countries including Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Belgium and their embassies and consulates in China and international organizations, Chinese think tanks, Experts and scholars from the media, relevant departments of various provinces and cities, and representatives of enterprises will participate in the forum, and will focus on "RCEP and regional economic integration development", "my country-Japan-Korea economic and trade cooperation under the RCEP framework", "accelerating the release of RCEP dividends to promote regional economic growth" " Exchanges and discussions were held on topics such as jointly building a high-level and largest free trade zone" and "giving full play to the important role of the media in promoting the RCEP process".

  The supporting institutions of this forum include the Institute of Free Trade Ports with Chinese Characteristics, Hainan Reform and Development Research Foundation, etc. Since 2021, the RCEP Regional Development Media Think Tank Forum has been held twice, both of which have had positive and extensive impacts.
