Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province, is located at the border between China and Russia. In recent years, with the increase of cross-border connectivity infrastructure, urban infrastructure, industrial infrastructure and public service facilities, the construction of Heihe's new urbanization has yielded fruitful results.
As a key node city of Heilongjiang's opening up to the outside world, Heihe has completed a number of major projects that build a foundation and benefit the long-term. Zhong Huanyu, deputy director of the Foreign Trade and Cooperation Center of Heihe Area of China (Heilongjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone, said that in recent years, Heihe has continuously innovated the development mode of cross-border e-commerce, built an independent e-commerce platform, adopted the cross-border logistics multi warehouse linkage data integration mode, improved the efficiency of logistics transition, reduced the logistics cost of enterprises, and optimized the consumer shopping experience.

Since 2019, Heihe has set up a project to transform 133 old residential areas, benefiting nearly 30000 households. By the end of this year, it will basically complete the transformation task of building old residential areas by the end of 2000.
This year, Heihe demolished 15000 square meters of illegal construction in the urban area. The city built 23.2 kilometers of gas network, renovated 44.6 kilometers of heat supply network, added 1027000 square meters of central heating area, renovated 32.4 kilometers of water supply network, built 1058 5G base stations, put the first phase of smart city into use, and continuously improved the living conditions of the masses.

Infrastructure construction continued to advance

After the bridge is opened, the transportation efficiency is greatly improved.
The upgrading and reconstruction project of the North Heilongjiang Railway (Longzhen Heihe Section) is one of the "Top 100 Projects" in Heilongjiang Province. The total investment of the project is 8.96 billion yuan, and the length of the main line is 203.778 kilometers, including 51.482 kilometers of existing lines and 152.296 kilometers of new lines, including subgrade, bridge, tunnel, track, three electricity and other major projects.
At the project construction site, vehicles shuttled back and forth, machines roared, and it was a busy scene. Xu Yongxin, Chairman of Heihe Railway Upgrading and Reconstruction Construction Co., Ltd., said that up to now, the project has completed an accumulative investment of 5.68 billion yuan, and strives to be put into operation before October 1, 2023.
It is understood that the completed North Heilongjiang Railway will open up the "main artery" of Heilongjiang's north-south transportation and become an important part of the Heilongjiang Land Sea Silk Road Economic Belt connecting Asia and Europe.

In 2021, the per capita disposable income of rural residents will reach 20528 yuan, which is 2640 yuan higher than the provincial average, with a year-on-year growth of 12.5%.
