Beijing import and Export online Fair (Western Asia & Southeast Asia) recently took place in Beijing Municipality.
The fair lasted seven days, with the participation of enterprises and organizations from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other countries. Its special exhibitions were themed around anti-epidemic supplies and medical health, new and high-tech products and intelligent equipment, new lifestyle, etc. Featuring various brands that uphold the ideas of "innovative manufacturing in Beijing" and "intelligent manufacturing in Beijing", the fair has successfully facilitated smooth cooperation in goods trading between Beijing and West Asian and Southeast Asian countries and elevated regional trade to a new stage. More than 120 enterprises in Beijing Municipality and over 100 overseas enterprises have taken part in the fair since its platform was opened on October 18.
In the first nine months of 2022, Beijing's import trade with West Asian countries exceeded CNY 500 billion, with a year-on-year increase of more than 50 percent. The import and export volume between Beijing and ASEAN member states reached nearly CNY 200 billion. In the future, Beijing will make the most of good opportunities and take the development of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone as the driving force. Beijing will adhere to the principles of opening up and cooperation and enhance institutional innovation to ensure free and convenient trade, investment, and talent flow. In addition, Beijing will spare no effort to create a world-leading business environment and form a new development pattern.
