A special promotion meeting for cooperation between Beijing and France to facilitate the development of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (the "Two Zones") was recently held in Beijing. According to the meeting, the revenue of pharmaceutical and health enterprises above the designated size in Changping District reached CNY 48.9 billion in the first eight months of 2022, with advanced energy enterprises above the designated size achieving revenue of CNY 148.02 billion.
It is learned that Changping District has sought to establish a more well-rounded policy system by issuing a series of supportive policies, including Interim Measures for Supporting the Development of Pharmaceutical and Health Industries, Rules on Supporting the Listing of Enterprises, and Incentive Measures of Changping District for Investment Attraction by Intermediary Services Agencies. The district has 22 enterprises whose applications for high-tech enterprise certification have been approved in a streamlined fashion, ranking first in Beijing Municipality in terms of the proportion of such enterprises. Moreover, Changping District has implemented a number of preferential policies for high-end overseas talent, aiming to build a top business environment and offer better opportunities for overseas enterprises to settle in as they get to know and invest in the district.
At present, Changping District is home to 25,000 new market entities, ranking second among all districts in Beijing Municipality. The number of market entities in the Changping Cluster of the Sci-tech Innovation Area of the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone has exceeded 10,000, which is 60.1 percent higher than that before it was unveiled.
Changping District has a long history of friendly relations with French cities. France ranks among the top three European countries in terms of the number of enterprises with investment from Changping District.
