At the exhibition, which opened on September 27th, the Hainan section fully showcases Hainan's achievements in various fields in the new era through multiple exhibits, including pictures, real-world objects, models, videos, and tableaux. Among them, tropical rainforest scenery, tropical fruits, and the Hainan "industrial tree" interactive touch screen display quickly became favorites, attracting many visitors to come and marvel.
Entry into the Hainan section of the exhibition is through an "undersea tunnel". Fish swimming under the waves, birds flying in the blue sky, and dense mangrove forests...this slice of Hainan at the exhibition transports visitors to the tropical island.
Images of natural scenery taken in Hainan, presented through interactive screens, offer visitors an immersive experience. In hues of greens and blues, the major feature and highlight of the exhibition is the telling the story of Hainan's ecological civilization construction through a variety of exquisite designs.
"A microcosm of Hainan's tropical rainforest has been ‘moved’ into the exhibition hall. The beauty of the rainforest realm impressed me. I also got a good sense of the achievements that Hainan has made in the construction of natural ecological civilization." Mr. Cheng spent quite a while admiring the "Adhering to the ecological construction of Hainan and striving to build an all-season garden for the Chinese nation" section of the Hainan exhibit. This part shows off the beautiful scenery and myriad species of Hainan's tropical rainforests through various exhibits, including pictures, objects, and tableaux. It also displays six landmark projects through which Hainan has promoted the construction of the National Ecological Civilization Pilot Zone.
Exhibits regarding the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port also drew visitors' attention. In the section "Comprehensive Deepening of Reform and Opening-up and Hainan Free Trade Port Construction Progress", visitors learned about the construction and achievements of Hainan Free Trade Port. In the section "Focusing on Modern Industry and Regional Coordination to Write a New Chapter in Hainan's High-quality Development", visitors experienced the Hainan "Industrial Tree" touch screen display and played an interactive game about Hainan's industrial development. "This gave me an intuitive understanding of what the four leading industries in Hainan are." said Ms. Zhang, a visitor to the exhibit.
Some people who are better acquainted with Hainan also came to view the exhibit. "Coming to the exhibition and seeing these familiar things has really brought back some memories of the past. Over the years, Hainan has changed significantly and is becoming increasingly well-developed. I will take my family back to see when I have the opportunity. " said a visitor who used to work in Hainan.
The Hainan exhibit, which took several months of careful planning, is divided into six major sections. For the exhibit, 95 pictures were selected, nine videos produced, six interactive displays designed, and seven sets of real-world objects brought up. The Hainan exhibit utilizes colorful elements and ingenious designs to show Hainan's major breakthroughs in comprehensively deepening reform and opening up and economic and social development over the past decade, further deepening visitors' understanding of Hainan.
