On September 17, the 21st China-ASEAN (10+1) Economic and Trade Ministerial Meeting, the 25th ASEAN-China, Japan and South Korea (10+3) Economic and Trade Ministerial Meeting and the 10th East Asia Summit (10+8) Economic and Trade Ministerial Meeting and other East Asian cooperation economic and trade ministerial meetings were held. Li Fei, Assistant Minister of Commerce, attended the meeting via video link in Beijing.

All parties exchanged in-depth views on key international and regional economic and trade cooperation issues such as deepening China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation, promoting the construction of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0, high-quality implementation of the RCEP agreement, enhancing the resilience of regional industrial and supply chains, promoting cooperation in post-epidemic economic recovery, and maintaining the multilateral trading system, and reached consensus in many aspects.

The 10+1 meeting believed that China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation has achieved fruitful results under the leadership of the leaders of both sides. China and ASEAN continue to be each other's largest trading partners and have active mutual investment. The two sides agreed that in the first year of the establishment of China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership, it is necessary to further strengthen economic and trade relations, continuously expand the scale of trade and investment, strengthen cooperation in the industrial chain and supply chain, continue to deepen the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, and promote the post-epidemic economic recovery of various countries. The meeting passed the "Work Plan on Further Deepening China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation", "Report on the Implementation Progress of China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement" and "Joint Feasibility Study Report on Further Upgrade of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (Version 3.0)", and jointly issued the "Joint Statement of China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Ministers on Post-epidemic Economic Recovery Cooperation".

At the 10+3 meeting, all parties expressed that they would cooperate closely to combat the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and give full play to the role of RCEP. They positively commented on the important role of the 10+3 Industrial Chain Supply Chain Cooperation Forum held in Suzhou, China in July 2022 in strengthening the resilience of regional industrial chain supply chains and promoting post-epidemic economic recovery. The meeting passed the "10+3 Economic Cooperation Work Plan" and the "Action Plan on Mitigating the Economic Impact of the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic" Progress Report.

At the 10+8 meeting, all parties exchanged views on issues such as the global and regional economic situation and the implementation of the outcomes of the 12th WTO Ministerial Conference.

Heads of the economic and trade departments of the ten ASEAN countries and ASEAN dialogue partners such as Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, India, the United States, and Russia attended relevant meetings.
