In order to strengthen the prevention and control of epidemic diseases and safety supervision of animals and their products, the notice on the import of animals and their products from designated crossings in this city is as follows:
1. Those who transport animals and their products into this city shall, in accordance with the relevant regulations of the state and this city, carry along with them the certificates of quarantine and other certificates issued by the relevant departments of the place of origin, and bring them in at the designated city border crossings, and accept the approval of the animal epidemic prevention department. Epidemic prevention supervision and inspection, including verification, object inspection, disinfection and information registration and traceability, etc.
2. The following crossings are the crossings designated by this city for importing animals and their products: Gelong Crossing, Anting Crossing, Baihe Crossing, Xicen Crossing, Yexin Crossing, Xinlian Crossing, Yangqiao Crossing, Xianghua Crossing. Fengjing Crossing no longer assumes relevant functions.
3. Anyone who does not import animals and their products from designated crossings shall be dissuaded by the public security department or traffic law enforcement department on the spot; if they refuse to listen to the dissuasion and forcibly import them, the animal epidemic prevention department shall follow the "Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China" and "Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China" and " According to the relevant provisions of Shanghai Animal Epidemic Prevention Regulations, the carrier shall be punished.
In the future, if the city increases or adjusts the designated crossings for importing animals and their products, the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee will report to the Municipal Government for approval and announce to the public.
This circular will come into effect on June 11, 2023 and will be valid until June 10, 2028.
