China ASEAN Business Leaders Jointly Discuss the Upgrading and Construction of the Free Trade Area i

The China ASEAN Business Leaders Forum and the RCEP Special Dialogue on Business Cooperation were held in Nanning, Guangxi. The Forum released the Development Report of the China ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (2004-2021) and the ASEAN Business Environment Report (2022), which were welcomed by the Chinese and ASEAN business communities.


This forum is a combination of online and offline. As an important event under the framework of the 19th China ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, the Forum, centering on the theme of "Deepening Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation in RCEP and Helping the Construction of China ASEAN Free Trade Area Version 3.0", invited the business circles of RCEP member countries to jointly discuss the upgrading and construction of China ASEAN Free Trade Area in the context of the effective implementation of RCEP, and carried out exchanges and discussions on hot topics such as green transformation and upgrading, industrial chain supply chain cooperation, Actively promote the high-quality implementation of RCEP, and upgrade and build the China ASEAN Free Trade Area with high standards.


The forum also issued the appointment letter of the expert committee of the China ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, and awarded the license to the Guangxi Liaison Office of the China Japan ROK Business Council and the Guangxi Liaison Office of the China Committee of the RCEP Business Advisory Council; The signing of the cooperation project of Kuantan International Logistics Park in Malaysia was held.


Zhang Shaogang, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that the China ASEAN Business Leaders Forum has always been committed to building a platform for dialogue, exchanges and practical cooperation between the business communities of the two sides, constantly tapping the new momentum of China ASEAN economic and trade cooperation, promoting China ASEAN economic and trade cooperation to a higher level and a wider range, and transmitting a positive signal of overcoming difficulties, mutually beneficial cooperation and common development between the business communities of China and ASEAN. CCPIT is willing to work with friends from ASEAN and the business community in the RCEP region to further promote regional economic integration and push the China ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership deeper and more practical.


Deputy Prime Minister He Nanhong of Cambodia pointed out that Cambodia, as the rotating presidency of ASEAN this year, is willing to take the effective implementation of RCEP as an opportunity to encourage and support the Cambodian business community to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with countries in the region through platforms such as the China ASEAN Business Leaders Forum. Cambodia will work with all parties to actively maintain the stability of the global industrial chain supply chain and jointly create an open, transparent and non discriminatory international trade environment. At the same time, we will focus on the construction and development of the ASEAN China Free Trade Area 3.0, and promote the economic and trade relations between ASEAN and China to a new level.


The Forum was co sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the 10 ASEAN countries, and hosted by the Secretariat of the China ASEAN Business and Investment Summit. about 200 government officials, business representatives, experts and scholars from China and RCEP member countries attended the forum.
