The two sides conducted in-depth consultations on topics such as trade in goods, rules of origin, customs procedures and trade facilitation, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, trade remedies, e-commerce, environment, intellectual property rights, competition, government procurement, dispute settlement, legal and institutional provisions, etc. .
Negotiations on a China-Israel FTA started in March 2016. China is Israel's second largest trading partner, and Israel is China's important economic and trade partner in the Middle East. In 2022, the bilateral trade volume between China and Israel will reach US$25.45 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%.
