Shanghai Lingang New Area Sets up "the Belt and Road" Cooperation and Exchange Workstation

On November 21, 2022, the third "the Belt and Road" Overseas Chinese and Chinese Business Cooperation and Exchange Meeting was held in the new Lingang area of Shanghai Free Trade Zone. The Overseas Chinese Business Contact Center in Lingang New Area signed strategic cooperation agreements with 5 overseas Chinese business units, including Shanghai Digital Certificate Authentication Center and China Huaming International Investment Co., Ltd., and signed project entry intent agreements with 9 overseas Chinese business representatives, including Huiju Technology Investment Holding Co., Ltd., Beijing United Silk Road International Cultural Development Co., Ltd. and Mingwei Holding Group (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.


On the same day, the "the Belt and Road" cooperation and exchange workstation in the new area of Lingang was inaugurated, which will further unite the strength of overseas Chinese and businessmen in the "the Belt and Road" and attract more high-quality enterprises to integrate into the new area of Lingang.


The "the Belt and Road" Overseas Chinese and Chinese Business Cooperation and Exchange Conference in the new area of Lingang was held on September 21, 2018 and September 27, 2019, attracting overseas Chinese businessmen from more than 20 countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Panama, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and the Czech Republic.


After the first two cooperation exchanges, more than 100 overseas Chinese businessmen from more than 40 countries, including Kuwait, Israel, Egypt, Japan, New Zealand and Indonesia, came to Hong Kong to visit and investigate, and reached cooperation intentions with relevant units. Up to now, 46 projects have been registered in the port.
