The Yueliangwan comprehensive parking lot in Qianhai introduced a smart operational management system Tuesday to improve its management and reduce various problems seen at public bus parking lots, Shenzhen Evening News reported.
The parking lot, also the country’s first pure electric public transport smart high-rise parking lot, includes 660 parking places, 348 charging piles and 50 parking spots for small vehicles.
The parking lot now serves a total of 34 public bus routes with 472 public buses and has greatly alleviated public transport problems in Qianhai where there is nowhere for public buses to park and recharge power.
The system serves the parking, charging, cleaning, maintenance and dispatch of public buses entering the parking lot so that these buses can depart punctually and be dispatched accurately.
A team was also set up to ensure there are enough buses departing from the parking lot to serve the public needs during the morning rush hours.
The Shenzhen Municipal Transport Bureau said it will introduce more technology applications into the system to improve the parking lot’s management level and provide better and more reliable public transport services for citizens.
