Djibouti International Free Trade Zone is jointly invested and operated by China Merchants Group, Dalian Port Group and other Chinese enterprises. The zone was opened in 2018, and now more than 200 companies have settled in. The Free Trade Zone, with a planned area of 48.2 square kilometers, has successively built a single window online service platform (SWP), a Djimart e-commerce platform, and a China Africa air sea intermodal express line to provide competitive digital services and products. Free trade zone is exempt from all taxes and enjoys preferential trade conditions with EU, the United States and COMESA countries.
