On April 26, 2022, the first chief negotiator meeting of the China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement negotiations was held via video. The two sides conducted in-depth consultations on topics such as the Negotiation Terms of Reference (TOR), tariff concessions for goods, draft agreement texts, and next-step work arrangements, and made positive progress.

　　Director Yu Benlin of the International Department of the Ministry of Commerce led a delegation to attend the meeting, and Deputy Director Yang Zhengwei attended the meeting.
