Before the negotiation, Wang Shouwen held a working meeting with Laureano, the adviser to the President of Nigeria and the leader of cooperation with China, and the heads of Nigeria's finance and trade departments, and exchanged views on the development of bilateral economic and trade relations and the negotiation of China-Nigeria free trade agreement.


  The economies of China and Nigeria are highly complementary and there is huge potential for trade and investment cooperation. Negotiations on a China-Nigeria free trade agreement will start in July 2022. On May 1 this year, the early harvest arrangement of the China-Nepal Free Trade Agreement came into effect. Negotiating and signing the free trade agreement is conducive to further deepening the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and laying a solid foundation and adding impetus to the sustainable development of China-Nepal relations.
