Construct "scattered collection" sea channel
On March 11, in the Jiangyin port area of Fuzhou Port, two gantry cranes operated simultaneously on the ship "Andros", and 35,000 tons of imported corn in bulk were loaded into trucks and transported to designated grain warehouses.
This is the first foreign trade imported grain ship ushered in by Jiangyin Port Area since it obtained the qualification of the designated supervision site for imported grain (bulk cargo) in February this year, marking that Jiangyin Port Area has become the only one in Fuzhou that can carry out water transportation of bulk cargo and containers at the same time. The port that imports grain by means of a port fills the gap in the bulk grain import business in Jiangyin Port Area, and also opens up a new channel for foreign trade imports for grain import companies inside and outside the province.
After being approved for the qualification of the designated supervision site for imported grain (bulk cargo), bulk grain can be imported directly from Jiangyin Port, realizing the seamless connection of the three links of import, storage and processing, which not only improves the timeliness of customs clearance, but also saves the enterprise comprehensive cost. "Now the time for each ship of imported grain from berthing and unloading to transporting into the factory has been shortened from 5 to 6 days to about 3 days, saving a lot of precious time for our downstream grain processing." People said that as an import and export supplier of agricultural products, the company expects to import 300,000 tons of feed raw materials from Jiangyin Port Area this year.
