During this period, the Asian final assembly line of the Airbus A320 series aircraft located in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone also received good news one after another. A320neo series aircraft have been delivered to Wizz Air of Hungary and Cebu Pacific Airlines of the Philippines. It is worth mentioning that this delivery to Wizz Air in Hungary is the first time that Airbus Tianjin Assembly Line has delivered an aircraft to a European customer. highly recognized.

It is understood that Wizz Air Hungary received the A321neo aircraft that was assembled by Airbus's Tianjin assembly line. The aircraft adopts a comfortable 239-seat single-cabin layout. Cebu Pacific Airlines in the Philippines received Airbus A320neo aircraft, which can comfortably carry 188 passengers under a single cabin layout, and will be operated on Cebu Pacific Airlines' extensive domestic and regional route network. Both aircraft are equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, and the delivery flights are fueled with 10% and 41% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) blends respectively.

The Airbus A320 series aircraft Asian final assembly line located in Tianjin was opened in 2008, and it is the first civil aircraft final assembly line of Airbus outside Europe. Since the delivery of the first A320 aircraft in 2009, the assembly line has been successfully operated for more than 14 years, completing the assembly and delivering more than 600 A320 series aircraft.

In order to ensure Airbus' production capacity increase target and respond to the growing market demand for the popular A321 model, Airbus announced in 2021 that it plans to expand the production capacity of the Asian final assembly line for A320 series aircraft in Tianjin to A321 aircraft. In March 2023, the final assembly line will complete the final assembly and deliver the first A321neo aircraft, marking that its production capacity has fully covered the A320 series aircraft. With the construction of the second production line of Airbus in Tianjin, the final assembly capacity of its A320 series aircraft has been further expanded, contributing to Airbus's overall goal of global monthly production of 75 A320 series aircraft by 2026.
