The open and dynamic Expo area has attracted numerous international economic organizations. Recently, the Asia-Pacific Transported Assets Protection Association ( TAPA APAC ) officially announced the opening of the Shanghai Representative Office in China, marking an important step in the development of China.

The Transportation Assets Protection Association ( TAPA ) is an international non-profit organization established in 1997 , which aims to provide safety standards, education and training, information exchange and cooperation mechanisms for the transportation industry to improve the protection level of transportation assets, reduce losses and risk. Asia Pacific Transportation Asset Protection Association currently has more than 670 member units in the Asia Pacific region, including manufacturers, logistics service providers, carriers, insurance companies, law enforcement agencies, etc., covering Southeast Asia, India, Japan, South Korea and other regions. Asia-Pacific Transportation Assets Protection Association China Shanghai Representative Office is its latest branch in the Asia-Pacific region, and will be committed to providing professional services and support for China's transportation industry.

In October 2021 , the Asia-Pacific Transportation Assets Protection Association obtained the NGO license issued by the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau to conduct business in China, and officially settled in the World Expo Qiantan International Economic Organization Cluster .

Tony Lugg , chairman of TAPA Asia Pacific , once said: " Through TAPA global safety standards, we will continue to support and help Pudong manufacturers, logistics providers and freight companies to establish a sustainable and resilient international supply chain. We will strive to make Pudong New Area a The strongest and most resilient international shipping hub in the Asia-Pacific region. "

Thanks to the mutual superposition of multiple policy advantages, as well as the construction and layout of new highlands of regional open economy and global resource allocation, international economic organizations have accelerated their convergence in the Expo area. Currently, they mainly focus on the three major areas of economic and trade rules, resource allocation, and international arbitration.

The established international economic organizations have played an active role in improving Shanghai's global resource allocation function, promoting institutional opening, and participating in the formulation of international technical standards. For example, as the first international financial organization headquartered in Shanghai, the BRICS New Development Bank is promoting the establishment of a transformational financial framework in its member countries; as the only professional technical organization engaged in commercial nuclear power operations in the world, the World Association of Nuclear Power Operators (UK) The Shanghai Representative Office participated in the formulation of 11 indicators including safety system performance and fuel reliability in the nuclear power field for use and benchmarking by member power plants. It is expected that by the end of 2023 , more international economic organizations will settle in the Expo area.
