Pingtan will develop characteristic trade based on the policies and measures of "opening the first line and controlling the second line".

Pingtan is planning to build a cross-strait route supply base to provide bonded oil refueling services for hundreds of ships that pass through the Taiwan Strait every day. Jia Weibin believes that the implementation of the "first-line release, second-line control" customs supervision model plays an important role in building Pingtan into an important logistics hub between the two sides of the strait, enriching cross-strait transportation capacity, and enhancing the competitiveness of air routes.
On June 15, the high-speed ro-ro passenger ship "Channel" carrying express mail departed from Pingtan Aoqian Ro-Ro Passenger Terminal to Taichung, Taiwan. The direct freight route between Pingtan Aoqian Passenger Ro-Ro Terminal and Taiwan resumed accordingly, and it is planned to open one or two voyages per week.
