Gao Yihuai, who was born in Gutian County, Ningde City, came to the Royal Academy of Sciences of New Zealand as a senior visiting scholar through the national government in 1992, and comprehensively presided over the research on the development and application of natural medicine and edible fungus resources in New Zealand in 1994.
With years of scientific research accumulation, Gao Yihuai's research field has involved many fields such as mycology, medical nutrition, natural pharmacy, etc. He has written more than 10 academic monographs, published more than 100 international papers, and won many international awards for his research achievements, providing technical support for the modern scientific extraction, development and application of agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline fishery products and Chinese herbal medicine.
"My long-term experience of working and living overseas has given me a deeper understanding of patriotism, and every overseas scholar can't give up his feelings of becoming a powerful country through science and technology and serving the country through industry." In May 2005, Gao Yihuai returned to Dongqiao Development Zone to invest 500 million yuan to establish Anfa (Fujian) Biotechnology Co., Ltd., which has developed into a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production and marketing, and has used its scientific research achievements to help the development of the bioeconomy industry.
As an agricultural and returning high-tech biological and health industry focused on attracting talents and investment in Fujian Province, it has maintained a steady growth of more than 20% of the annual average output value, sales and tax revenue since it was put into operation, and has become the leader of the regional biological medicine and health care product industry.
