The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) officially entered into force for Indonesia on January 2.
Indonesian Trade Minister Zulkifli Hassan previously said in a statement that companies can apply for preferential tax rates through certificates of origin or declarations of origin. Hassan said that RCEP will make the flow of export goods in the region smoother and benefit enterprises. The RCEP is expected to boost regional supply chain development, reduce or eliminate trade barriers, and boost technology transfer in the region by increasing exports of goods and services, he said.
In September 2022, Indonesia will complete the relevant approval procedures. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement will come into effect on January 1, 2022, and is the largest free trade agreement in the world.
