The Second Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China will be held in Beijing from February 26 to 28, 2023.
Attending this plenary session were 203 members of the Central Committee and 170 alternate members of the Central Committee. The deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Disciplinary Inspection and comrades in charge of relevant departments attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates.
The meeting is run by the central government. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee, delivered an important speech.

The plenary session heard and discussed Xi Jinping's work report entrusted by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, and reviewed and approved the national institutions proposed by the Political Bureau of the Central Committee to be recommended to the first session of the 14th National People's Congress on the basis of extensive solicitation of opinions from inside and outside the party and repeated consultations The proposed list of leadership candidates and the recommended list of CPPCC leadership candidates to be recommended to the First Session of the Fourteenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference have decided to submit these two proposed lists to the Presidium of the First Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress and the First Session of the Fourteenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
