Jia Weibin believes that the implementation of the "first-line release, second-line control" customs supervision model plays an important role in building Pingtan into an important logistics hub between the two sides of the strait, enriching cross-strait transportation capacity, and enhancing the competitiveness of air routes.
On June 15, the high-speed ro-ro passenger ship "Channel" carrying express mail departed from Pingtan Aoqian Ro-Ro Passenger Terminal to Taichung, Taiwan. The direct freight route between Pingtan Aoqian Passenger Ro-Ro Terminal and Taiwan resumed accordingly, and it is planned to open one or two voyages per week.
