Zhu Fenglian said that this forum is co-hosted by 84 institutions from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It adheres to the orientation of "non-governmental, grassroots, and extensive", continues the theme of "expanding non-governmental exchanges and deepening integrated development", and sets up grassroots exchanges, youth exchanges, cultural exchanges, and economics. Recently, Pingtan, Guangzhou and other places have successively held cross-strait sports and cultural exchange activities. Zhu Fenglian introduced that from May 19th to 21st, the 7th Pingtan Cross-Strait Workers Cycling Race in 2023 will be held in the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone in Fujian Province. Thousands of workers from both sides of the Strait will participate, including 16 counties and cities including Taipei, Taichung and Yilan. More than 200 Taiwanese employee riders competed across the sea. On May 26, the finals of the first Guangzhou Taiwan Youth Lingnan Culture Explainer Competition was held in Guangzhou. The theme of the competition was "Lingnan Culture", which attracted nearly 4,000 Taiwanese teenagers from 12 universities, primary and secondary schools in Guangzhou to participate in online training. Nearly 500 Taiwanese teenagers walked into 12 Taiwan exchange bases and exchange points, 185 Taiwanese teenagers participated in the preliminary selection, and 20 contestants were shortlisted for the finals.

Regarding the recent concerts held by many Taiwanese singers and bands in various parts of the mainland, which aroused fans' youthful memories, Zhu Fenglian said that as of mid-April this year, a total of 75 batches of various localities have been approved for a total of 431 performances involving Taiwanese entertainers.
