Recently, the Sichuan delegation went to Jinan, Shandong Province to participate in the launch of the Yellow River Basin Pilot Free Trade Zone Alliance and the High Quality Development Conference of Opening up. The theme of the conference is "enabling high-quality development of the Yellow River basin in the pilot free trade zone", which aims to further strengthen cooperation among the nine provinces (regions) in the Yellow River basin, give play to the advantages of system innovation in the pilot free trade zone, promote open economic development in the Yellow River basin, and build a pattern of regional coordinated development.
At the opening ceremony, Wang Wentao, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered a video speech, Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Governor of Shandong Province, attended and delivered a speech, and He Jinping, Deputy Governor of Henan Province, attended the speech. Guo Tingting, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, led the provinces and regions along the Yellow River to jointly launch the Yellow River Basin Pilot Free Trade Zone Alliance, and witnessed the release of the system innovation achievements of the Yellow River Basin Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the signing of the cooperation memorandum of the Department of Commerce of the province (autonomous region) along the Yellow River, the cooperation agreement of the pilot free trade zone area or functional area, and industrial cooperation projects. Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, attended the opening ceremony. Chen Youqing, Deputy Director General of Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, made an exchange speech on behalf of Sichuan Free Trade Zone at the plenary meeting of the Yellow River Basin Pilot Free Trade Zone Alliance, a supporting activity. Yu Shuliang, the first level inspector of Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Zhong Bin, the second level inspector of Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, accompanied them to participate in relevant activities.
During the conference, Shandong Province organized and participated in the investigation of free trade zones in provinces and regions. The Sichuan delegation investigated the national cultural export base located in Jinan area of Shandong Free Trade Zone, and learned about the export of cultural products of the Yellow River. The delegation carefully inquired about the cooperation between Sichuan and Shandong, learned from each other in the survey, discussed deepening the relevant cooperation, and used the system innovation platform of the Free Trade Zone to promote the all-round high-quality development of the open economy of both sides and help Sichuan to open up comprehensively and stereoscopically. We also investigated the Corporate Culture Service Center in the Central Business District of Jinan, which was transformed from the steel rolling workshop of Jinan No. 2 Iron and Steel Plant, to understand the overall planning of the Central Business District, learn to use the open platform of the Free Trade Zone, inherit and develop Chinese culture, explore and strengthen the cooperation in Sichuan Shandong cultural service trade, use the new business model of foreign trade, and jointly promote the Chinese culture to glow new vitality in the international market.
The Yellow River Basin Pilot Free Trade Zone Alliance is led by Shandong Province and actively participated by the provinces along the Yellow River (autonomous regions). Its members include 9 provinces (autonomous regions) in Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia.
Leaders and enterprise representatives of Chengdu Tianfu New Area, Qingbaijiang District and South Sichuan Port Area of Sichuan Free Trade Zone also participated in the conference and a series of activities, communicating with representatives of free trade zones in various provinces and regions, and looking for cooperation opportunities.
The Yellow River originates from the Bayankara Mountains in Qinghai Province, and it twists and turns from west to east. It joins the Baihe River in Tangke Town, Ruoergai County, Sichuan Province, forming the first bend of the magnificent Yellow River, which is across the river from Gansu Province.
