Kuomintang representative Chen Yu chen proposed to set up a medical special zone and a free trade demonstration zone on the outer islands, which sparked questioning from Democratic Progressive Party representative Shen Po yang about the "Kinmen model" of surrounding the Taiwan authorities.
Shen Boyang posted Chen Yuzhen's proposal on Facebook yesterday (8th), exclaiming, "It's indeed here. He also claimed that during his chief questioning, he had already stated that this was the "Kinmen model" of surrounding the Taiwan authorities and reminded the Taiwan administrative department to have countermeasures.
Chen Yuzhen quickly responded by stating that improving healthcare in Kinmen and strengthening medical resources have always been the most important expectations of Kinmen residents. The purpose of proposing this case is to engage in tourism medical services through the establishment of medical special zones, providing opportunities for villagers to enjoy better medical services. She said that Kaohsiung can even discuss setting up a "financial special zone" within the free trade zone, why are proposals from other islands being slandered?
Chen Yuzhen stated that the residents of Kinmen hope to have room for continuous improvement in terms of medical facilities, medical personnel, medical quality, and service capacity, and even further reduce the need for residents to travel to Taiwan for diagnosis and treatment. If a "medical zone" can be established in Kinmen to attract more medical institutions or legal entities to set up branches or medical institutions, it will not only take care of the health of Kinmen residents, but also give Kinmen the possibility to develop a large-scale health industry.
Chen Yuzhen said that in this general inquiry, the head of Taiwan's administrative agency, Zhuo Rongtai, was also specifically questioned. Zhuo Rongtai also promised to invite the "Taiwan Development Council" and Taiwan's health regulatory authorities to pay attention to how to help develop Kinmen's medical industry. If there are any "legal" deficiencies, they can also be amended. Chen Yuzhen also reminded that developing the big health industry in Kinmen is a step by step "pilot trial" for the Taiwan authorities, and Shen Boyang should not misjudge the situation.
As for the establishment of the Kinmen Free Trade Demonstration Zone, Chen Yuzhen also said that there have been in-depth and extensive discussions in both the Kinmen County Council and the "Construction Regulations Seminar" jointly organized by the Kinmen Kinmen Joint Service Center and the Kinmen Matsu Penghu Alliance. The establishment of a free trade port area will drive infrastructure construction, improve residents' living standards, promote industrial and economic development, thereby establishing a diversified economic structure, introducing diversified industries including high-tech, service trade, tourism, etc., and promoting the optimization and upgrading of Kinmen's economic structure. Perhaps Shen Boyang has never been to the front line of Kinmen, but she also invited him to personally visit Kinmen, observe the local public opinion, and understand the voices of the villagers.
