Wang Shouwen, International Trade Negotiator and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, said at the 2023 APEC Business Leaders China Forum on June 17 that the steady growth of China's economy will bring more development opportunities and space for enterprises in the APEC business community. Continue to open the door for development and actively promote high-level opening up.
He said: "We have basically liberalized the access of foreign investment in the manufacturing industry, and are liberalizing the service industry in a comprehensive and orderly manner. In the future, we will reasonably reduce the negative list of foreign investment access, launch free trade pilot zones and nationwide cross-border Negative List for Trade in Services."
He also said that China will vigorously attract foreign capital and welcome foreign-funded enterprises to invest in China. An increasingly open Chinese market will help multinational companies realize their own development and enhance their competitiveness in the global market. In addition, China will vigorously develop the digital economy and promote the digitization of trade.
