Vietnam Textile and Garment Machinery Exhibition VTG was fully supported by Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, and Vietnam Garment and Ingredients Association. It is also a textile and garment industry exhibition recognized by UFI in Vietnam. Participating in this exhibition can give a more direct understanding of the development of Vietnam and even the world's products and the specific needs of the market, which is conducive to improving the technical content of products, adjusting and improving the structure of products, laying the foundation for producing high-quality products, and also guiding the direction of improving exports and ensuring normal exports.
market analysis
In 2017, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports reached 28 billion US dollars, accounting for 17% of Vietnam's total export amount of all commodities in this period. Vietnam will reach the planned target of exporting US $30 billion worth of textiles annually. This is mainly due to the good textile market information forecast carried out by Vietnamese textile manufacturers, their efforts to consolidate foreign markets and enter new markets.
By the end of October this year, Vietnam's textile exports to the EU, the United States and Japan had increased by 41%, 14% and 52% respectively compared with the same period last year. In terms of opening up new markets, Vietnam also delivered a good report card on its textile exports to South Korea, Taiwan and Canada in the first 10 months of this year, including $753 million in exports to South Korea, a sharp increase of 128% over the same period last year.
In 2018, it will be able to export US $30 billion of textiles, an increase of 10%~12% over this year. Among them, the EU, the United States and Japan are still important markets for Vietnam's textile exports, accounting for 80% of the total amount of textile exports. Vietnam's textile exports are expected to reach 30 billion dollars in 2018.
