Product Description
Pellets are small cylindrical wood pellets produced from the by-products of the sawmill industry, namely pine sawdust and chips.
Pellets constitute a highly efficient solid biofuel. The raw materials are subjected to a grinding and drying process followed by pressing, using a cylindrical matrix, which through an extortion process allows the production of the pellets in their final form.
The natural resin in the wood is solely responsible for binding the sawdust during the production of the pellets. No additives are used in the manufacturing process.
Pellets, a 100% natural, renewable solid biofuel with neutral impact on CO2 emissions during burning, produced from Pine wood with a high calorific value, are normally used in equipment suitable for this type of biofuel, such as stoves, fireplaces, ovens, boilers and barbecues.
Pellets have a calorific value of over 17.0 MJ/kg which is equivalent to 5 kWh/kg, and their combustion is very efficient both because of the raw materials used, with an ash content of less than 0.7%, and because of the low percentage of humidity contained in pellets, ≤ 10%.
Its high density, over 650 Kg/m3, allows the optimisation of resources allocated to handling, bagging, storage and transport.
